My Songbird Can Dance

MY SONGBIRD CAN DANCE tells the story of Eefee Okoli, a 24-year old Nigerian live-in nanny employed by the Peytons, a Harlem-based African-American family.  Eefee is trying her best to ignore the advances of Mr. Peyton who pursues her with mounting urgency, even as Mrs. Peyton battles her own tragic secrets.

Mr. Peyton's unrequited desire soon takes a deadly turn against the young and beautiful African nanny whom he believes is an illegal alien. Too bad she's not. The girl was born in the Bronx. Her name is not even Eefee - it's Rachel. And what Rachel is is unforgiving.
